Me and many of my friends regularly go for drinks or food at the red lion as it never disappoints. After spending my Saturday at their Ibiza beach party event I had to leave this review because me and my friends all agreed that we have not enjoyed a day out like today … More for a very long time, non stop laughing , good vibes, and even better music !I have to give a huge shout out to the two young members of staff one of them I think I was Hayden (could be wrong) for the amount of pressure serving so many customers at once and somehow he was still managing to keep Smiling and also making us laugh with his humour !!! Thanks for an amazing day

I wanted to write a review after a recent trip to the Red Lion during the World Cup. David and his team were amazing, I was astonished at their efficiency behind the bar on such a busy day! My guests were not from England so it was brilliant to show them a quintessential … More independent British pub in the Thames river… The food was fantastic ( that sauce on the chicken tenders!) and David was so accommodating with our table placement so that we could watch the football – great experience all round and will be back for sure!

It's been a while since I'd eaten at The Red Lion. I was excited to return, as I've always enjoyed the food and the riverside setting is stunning. It's was a bit rainy when we went, so we sat in the lovely restaurant area. It was 5pm during the week, … More so it was quiet when we arrived. We were served by a few different members of staff during our meal. The service was friendly, professional and attentive. It's a great menu with good choice (without being to big). The starters were all delicious, and they also have a choice of bar snacks, so my son chose the croquettes from that part of the menu. The mains were also great. Generous portions, beautifully presented, all delicious and made with quality ingredients. Our children wanted desserts, so my wife and I, although very full, shared an apple tarte tatin. It was amazing. All in all, an outstanding meal, and a big step up from normal pub food. A lovely NZ sauvignon blanc at a reasonable price too! Highly recommend.
