Always hunting for a good Sunday roast and I have to say, I reckon this has to be the best I've had in a long long time.
The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The vegetables crisp and not overcooked. He had the beef, which he rated … More at a (very rare, excuse the pun) wonderful. The Yorkshire was good and the gravy, tasty and plentiful.
As a vegetarian I tried the pattie, but it was fake meat, so not for me. Zach, our waiter, kindly switched it out for cauliflower cheese, which was cheesy, crunchy and, frankly, superb.
Cost is at the upper end for this area, but well worth it. You can tell its chef prepared instead of cook served.
We'll definitely be back.

This is a nice pub next to the river with lots of seating options (indoor, outdoor covered, outdoor next to the river, they even have cabins). The menu is diverse and the food was generally good. We really liked the rillettes and the grilled fish.

My Mum has a lifelong friend who lives nearby, so we chose the Red Lion so that they could catch up and celebrate their recent coming of age birthdays of 90 years! The staff were fantastic. Great pub with amazing classic pub food.
Our party opted for roast dinners and the food did not disappoint, it was dinner as expected.
The portions were really good size and the beef slices were cooked to perfection (medium rare) with crispy roasted potatoes and Yorkshire … More pud. Root vegetables are served speratly and they all we prepared really good.
Desserts also were amazing.
There is a kids menu also for under 14 with classic pub options.
