First visit to the Red Lion and I really enjoyed it. Great pub with good atmosphere. Enjoyed the choice of areas, main bar, open area and snug. Staff were friendly and efficient and I could not fault the service. Will definitely come back. Only slight negative (for … More me) was no battered fish and chips on menu, which I think is a pub staple and is what I was hoping for when I walked in. This is a nice pub next to the river with lots of seating options (indoor, outdoor covered, outdoor next to the river, they even have cabins). The menu is diverse and the food was generally good. We really liked the rillettes and the grilled fish.
